Ingredients:
8 cans green beans
1 lb. bacon
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Prep. time: 1 hour
Yield: 24 servings
Preheat oven to 350º.
Rinse green beans and place them in a pan. Brown and crumble the bacon; add to beans. Sauté chopped onion in the remaining bacon grease; remove from fat and add to beans. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, apple cider vinegar, and 2 Tbs. bacon grease. When mixture turns clear, pour over the beans. Stir.
Cook uncovered for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
