Ingredients:
4 thick pork chops
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 Tbs. butter
1 tart apple, cored and cut into thick slices
2 onion, peeled and cut into thick slices
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 tsp. dried thyme

Prep. time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Yield: 4 servings
Preheat the oven to 325º. Rinse the pork chops and pat dry. Mix the flour, salt, and pepper together on a plate. Heat the butter in a deep skillet and brown the pork chops, about 4 minutes per side. Stir in the apples and onions and cook about 3 minutes. Stir in the stock and thyme. Cover and bake for 45 minutes to an hour, checking occasionally to make sure the stock has not cooked out, until the pork is very tender.
