Jeanne-Marie's Smoked Turkey

Ingredients:

1 pre-smoked turkey
cored and quartered apples
cored and quartered oranges (unpeeled)
celery
4 slices thick bacon
1 cup sherry
1 cup cider

Prep time: 1 hour

For a turkey that is already smoked, it needs to be thoroughly heated, but not recooked. One way to do this is as follows:

Preheat oven to 375º.

Place apples, oranges, onion, and celery in the cavity.

Drape the turkey with bacon, making certain that the drumsticks are covered.

Pour sherry and cider over the turkey.

Roast in the oven for 1 hour, basting as necessary. Add more liquid as needed to keep the turkey moist.
