Chewy Choc-Oat-Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbs. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt, optional
2 1/2 cups quick oats
1 12-oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Prep time: 2 hours
Yield: 4 dozen

Preheat oven to 375º.

Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and nuts; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 10 minutes. Cool completely.
