Mom's Teriyaki Burgers

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs (2 slices)
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 slightly beaten eggs
2 Tbs. sugar
1/4 cup water
3 Tbs. soy sauce
1 clove garlic
1 dash ground ginger
1 1/2 lb. ground beef

Prep time: 30 minutes
Yield: 6 servings

Combine breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, sugar, water, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Mix well.

Add ground beef and mix well. Shape into 6 patties. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 10 minutes, turning once. Patties can also be grilled or cooked in a skillet.
